COMMITMENT
PARENT COMMITMENT
Cheerleading is a time consuming sport, and we appreciate the sacrifices parents make for their children to participate. In order for our team to run smoothly and successfully, we do ask that parents be aware of certain policies:
Most of our games will be AWAY and played in other cities around Utah County. We have been as far as American Fork and Payson.
We ask that parents are willing to communicate and coordinate timely carpools if needed.ÂParents are expected to help their athlete remember to bring sufficient water to practices and games in order to avoid dehydration or potential heat stroke.
We ask that parents help athletes be on time for practices (5-10 minutes early is best so they can set their things down before jumping into the warmup).
ATHLETE COMMITMENT
Show up to practice ready - hair up, cheer shoes and athletic clothing on, water packed and phones put away.
Maintain a positive attitude. We will condition and train our bodies to do new things that will require discomfort in order to grow stronger. Uplift others around you as they are also learning new things.
Be a team player. Coaches will have final say on formations, squad lines, captains, and stunt groups and positions. Be ready to jump in where needed.
Practice at home. Especially when it comes to cheers, the expectation is that you review the ones taught at practice on your own. You can ask questions, or ask for additional help, but you will NOT be performing in halftimes or be allowed to stunt if you do not master the cheers.
TIME
2 hour practices 2x a week at the end of the school year/summer
1-2 Games that last approximately 2 hours + 1 practice 2 hours a week in the fall
OPTIONAL
This past season we were invited to perform a showcase routine at Provo High School to end our season. This is an optional, additional cost that is a fundraiser for the Provo cheer team. If you would like to participate, the coaches will get a headcount toward the end of the season and hold a few additional practices to prepare. We always aim to do our best, so we put 100% effort into the routine.
